The 1980s were a decade full of bright colors, iconic movies, and unforgettable music. These years made a huge impact on pop culture. When we started working on ’80s Adventures, we wanted to capture that energy and nostalgia and bring it into the world of Dungeons & Dragons.

How ’80s Adventures Began

The idea for ’80s Adventures started with a single D&D session inspired by classic summer camp movies from the 1980s. In this game, young wizards worked together to save their beloved camp from financial ruin. This adventure became the basis for Camp Spellbrook, one of our favorite modules from the campaign. From this experience, the idea for ’80s Adventures grew, and we realized we had something truly special to share.

Mixing ’80s Nostalgia with Fantasy

Everything in this book is inspired by the 1980s. We’ve combined the bright colors and big hairstyles of the decade with the low technology and high magic world of Dungeons & Dragons. Imagine your party finding an arcade, but instead of electronic machines, it’s powered by wood, gears, and gnomish ingenuity.
